Description
Artists Tom and Nancy Giusti use the ancient Japanese method of Raku. Every piece is removed from the kiln when it reaches a temperature of 1400 degrees and immediately buried into a pit of combustible sawdust. The resulting smoke and flame interact with the glazes creating shimmering metallic colors which enhance the natural beauty of the drawn and placed foliage.
Each piece is handmade and may vary slightly. The subject matter will remain the same.
