Description
Artists Tom and Nancy Giusti use the ancient Japanese method of Raku. Every piece is removed from the kiln when it reaches a temperature of 1400 degrees and immediately buried into a pit of combustible sawdust. The resulting smoke and flame interacts with the glazes creating shimmering metallic colors which enhance the natural beauty of the drawn and placed foliage.
Specific photographs can be sent as no two pieces are alike and colors vary.
Plaques are intended for inside use.
